900 Links and Counting (November 23, 1999)
I just finished a major update to the Joke and Humor Dirctories. What's new? A minor reorg and a bunch of new jokes, that's what. Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think. (There are now 900 links and jokes. Only a few more weeks until we get to 1000!)
Sherlock Plugin! (November 16, 1999)
All you Mac users listen up! If you want an easy way to search for the best jokes and humor websites pay attention. We have a new Sherlock plugin for your consumption. (Just download, extract with StuffIt Expander, and drop on your closed system folder.)
Directory - Done! (November 12, 1999)
Great news - I've finished adding jokes from the OLD Humor collection to the NEW Humor Directory. (Notice the subtle differences in the name.) Now you can enjoy the same great jokes (and many more) with a cool, easy to use interface with detailed descriptions, searching, and a special printing mode.
Sticky News (November 7, 1999)
I've updated the Rubber Cement Art page with 13 more of my favorite pages. I've also added some new backgrounds and spruced up a few bad scans. Enjoy!
Rubber Cement Review (November 6, 1999)
ThirdAge (The Web Guide for Grown Ups) had something nice to say about my rubber cement page: Here's something that'll really stick to your bookmark. Take a guy, an assignment, a bottle of rubber cement and the passage of time, and you get Rubber Cement Art. Don't look for any hidden meaning or social significance. This is just another site without competition -- and featuring a private collection -- that of artist Owen Prater who shares his creations from simple "Funky Cement" to "Cement of the Future." In his "Cement in the Mist," Prater, without explaining the title, says "Sorry my handwriting is hard to read. Nah. I'm not really sorry." And his "Cement in the Forest" offers some unique wallpaper. Definitely rated SSOL for "Surfers in Search of a Life." "
One Million Hits and Counting! (November 4, 1999)
Yesterday PBBT.COM reached an exciting milestone: ONE MILLION HITS (with one quarter million page views)! Not bad for a little 'ol humor site, dontcha think?
Of course, I'm not stopping there: Dozens of new features are planned, the directory is quickly growing, and an exciting web program is having the finishing touches put on. (I'll give your a clue: It's called AutoTrans.) All this would not be possible without you my loyal visitors. Thanks!
Rubber Cement Artwork Update (November 1, 1999)
The Rubber Cement Artwork page was recently featured on Earthlink's Weekly Newsletter (Nov 1-7) under "Weird Web." They said Rubber Cement Art: The average person appreciates rubber cement for its adhesive properties, but it takes a real artist to show us its true beauty. True, but as a nice Earthlink visitor pointed out: Actually, it isn't rubber cement art, it's art using a rubber cement container as a model... Whatever the truth is, be sure to check it out!
